For the first three months  (mid Sept – mid Dec)  all students are based together in World Horizons' UK base and residential centre, in Llanelli, South Wales. This gives very practical experience in living and working with people from different cultures. Students also have the opportunity to meet many members of WH who are involved in a great range of different ministries around the world. This is invaluable in helping students integrate into the wider body of WH.

For the following six months (Jan to June) training continues to be based at the Llanelli Centre but students live out in the local community, usually in rented accommodation or lodgings.

Single person in rented room - approx £35-£40 per week , all bills included except telephone, plus approx £25 per week for food (cooking separately)

For a family renting a 3 bedroomed house:
Month's rent approx £450 - £500 at current rates
Council tax approx £80 - £90 per month
Water rates approx £30
Gas and electricity approx £120 (this may rise again before next year - it has increased  a huge amount in the last year)
