World Horizons – Equipping for Service Course

Equipping for Service (E4S) is a nine-month course, primarily designed for those who are planning to work long-term with World Horizons or its associates.

The teaching styles and content are very varied, covering diverse subjects such as language learning and linguistics, prayer, church history and story telling. The course also includes at least two overseas visits. The majority of the teaching staff have many years of mission experience.

The course is suitable for families, single people and couples.

Throughout the training there is a strong emphasis both on the deepening of the student's own walk with God, and the development of the skills needed to work successfully in multi-cultural teams.  The course also serves as an introduction to World Horizons as a movement of people, as well as giving students a basic understanding of how we operate.

The course is taught in English, and students will typically need to be able to communicate easily and effectively in both written and spoken English.

Our training programme is usually the route through which long term applicants join the movement of world horizons – in some circumstances individuals wish to join the course simply for the training, rather than to join the movement. On occasion we do accept such applications – and if you do wish to apply for the training alone, without joining the movement then we would be pleased to discuss that with you.
