Youth Development Team - About Us

World Horizons is a mission movement, seeking to share the gospel in those parts of the world classed as 'unreached' or 'least reached'.

Youth work has been at the heart of World Horizons' work since we began. Over the last 20 or so years, we have progressed from taking local canoeing trips, to providing all kinds of services and facilities to young people locally and nationwide.

We continue to have a strong emphasis on outdoor pursuits, using activities such as water sports, caving and climbing to build relationships and help young people overcome fears and self doubt. We also believe strongly in adventures - the importance of adventure in a young person's life, and the way that this relates to their great adventure - a relationship with God.

We work with young people between the ages of 11 and 18, and we also work to support those who work with young people. We are determined to get people out of their comfort zones, so that they can experience God for themselves in new and exciting ways.
