Alternative Curriculum Courses
For a number of years we have been working on courses for young people who have ‘dropped out’ or ‘been removed’ from mainstream schooling. Our courses, which are based around outdoor pursuits, help to support, encourage and build up those who are struggling to overcome learning difficulties of all kinds. We believe that through this, we can help people make good decisions, that will positively impact themselves, and their environment.
Our alternative curriculum courses include adventurous activities, but are also based around the key elements of excellence and quality, purpose, and discipline. Pupils are required to keep a log book in which they record their progress.
Issues which are covered in the course include: attendance, diet, attitude to work, and commitment.
These courses are designed to work within the needs and aims of the particular schools or organizations involved.
Team Building Activities
Some schools will take a day or a week to work on team building and relationship skills, either as a year group, as a class, or perhaps a team or group from within a school.
We use various activities to help stretch and develop teams, whilst also having a lot of fun.
National Curriculum Lessons
We would like to take lessons in line with the National Curriculum in areas such as physical education, or religious studies.
Assemblies
We are always pleased to help schools with their assemblies where we can. Our assemblies are based on Christian teachings, but may be themed according to the needs of the school.
Christian Unions
We recognize the value of active Christian unions within schools, and we aim to strengthen and help these groups in any way we can.
